Once in America Judith pledged that she would raise her three sons as avenging warriors to ensure her family and those murdered during the war would account for their crimes.
Artukovic’s two dozen death camps were so inhumane the Gestapo reported to Heinrich Himmler that the genocidal frenzy was being committed “in the most bestial manner – especially against the elderly, women and children.”
